Daryl Dahse Burchfield sent us an E-mail on
July 19, 2012 telling us about his father’s service:

"My dad went to Hackensack Schools and was in World War II.

His name was William Charles Dahse
.

He was in World War II. His date of birth is 09/19/1919. He was deceased on 07/20/2001
(he would have been 22 years old in 1941).

He served in the Army and was Honorable Discharge and had a Bronze Star from the Battle of the Bulge."

Daryl Dahse Burchfield mentioned that his father was stationed in
Fort Dix, New Jersey sometime during his service and William C. Dahse had risen to the rank of Sergeant.

09/29/1945

He was in Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland GO33 as amended.

He resided at 491 W. Anderson Street
Hackensack, New Jersey at time of entering the service.

He was born and raised in Hackensack, so as far as I know, he went to the Hackensack Schools.

Let us never forget the soldiers sacrifice.
